Types of alternative teaching methods: ABPr

Overall, the Project-Based Learning has been considered historically as a teaching, a learning model that uses projects to involve students and their learning approach (Doyle, 1986), an educational strategy (Walton and Matthews , 1989), a way of learning (Engel, 1977), a way of understanding the curriculum (Bound and Feletti, 1977) or teaching and learning strategy that involves students in complex activities (Center for Occupational Research and Development-CORD -, 2008), while Thomas (1998) defines it as "a systematic teaching method that engages students in learning essential knowledge and skills to improve life by extending the process of student research influenced that is structured around complex, authentic questions and carefully designed products and tasks "(p. 2). Therefore, the ABPr be conceived as a constructivist pedagogy that is between its main objectives to work on the depth of learning, allowing students to ask about the commitment of issues and questions that are rich, real and relevant to their lives.
